At Your service, O Allāh! At Your service! And all goodness is in your hands! Allāh! Allāh! Allāh! My Lord, there is no equal to You!

O Allāh, O Merciful One, I ask You by Your unique Oneness, mercy, ability, strength and power, seeing the intermediary of Yourself and your Emissary and your Prophet, and your Saint, and by the right of this noble month [Shaᶜbān] and what follows it from the great and mighty month [Ramaḍān], and by the right of this night in which all the judicious commands are allocated that You set right our affairs, apparent of them and the hidden, and what is absent and what is present, and what is small from amongst them and [what is] insignificant, and what is significant; and that You assist us with a mighty assistance, and You support us with Your support, and that You populate our city [Madīna Kawlakh] with a Sunnī congregation of scholars, saints, righteous people, epistemics, submitting males and females, and believing males and females;

And that You guard us with Your Eyes that do not sleep; and that You suffice us by Your sufficiency that does not expire, and that You place us on the straight path and protect us from the misguided and misguiding leaders and their armies and followers, and remove us from the party of the people of lustful desires, and grant us safety from why You have afflicted on them, and make us leaders of the pious and God-conscious;

And make this soil good and pleasant for us and make us good and pleasant for it, and bless us in its dry measure (mudd) and acreage (ṣāᶜi) and bless us in its water and its earth, and cause it to thrive and be frequented for You and by You;

By the rights of the Oft-frequented House (bayt al-maᶜmūr) and the Mother of Cities (umm al-qurā); and by the right of Ṭayba, the city of the Chosen One (al-muṣṭafā’); and by the right of the blessed land of Syria (al-Shām), the blessed land that is it; and by the right of Fez [of] the seal al-Tijānī, with only what he has repleted for us in this place;

And make it safe and sacrosanct, in which are gathered the fruits and provisions of every type; and provide us in it with what will be a repose for our hearts and bodies, and constant well-being and gratitude for the well-being, and safety from every affliction and tribulation in our religious lives (dīn) and worldly lives (dunyā) and after-lives (ākhira). My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits; and place in it the secret of the station of Ibrāhīm and [wherein] whoever enters it is granted safety.

O Owner of Majesty and Nobility!

O Noble One! O Generous One!

O Proximate One! O Responder!

May peace and blessings be upon our master Muḥammad and his family and companions.

AD-DUAA' LI-MADEENAH BI KAWLAKH FI SHA'BAN

Ad-Du‘ā’ li-Madīnati "bi-Kawlakh" fī Sha‘bān

Labbayka Allāhumma labbayka, wa-l khayru kulluhu fī yadika. Allāh Allāh Allāh. Rabbī lā sharīka laka. Allāhumma yā Allāh yā Raḥmān as’aluka bi-waḥdāniyyatika wa-raḥmāniyyatika wa-bi qudratika wa ḥawlika wa quwwatika mutawassilan bika wa rasūlika wa nabiyyika wa waliyyika wa bi-ḥaqqi hādhā-sh shahri-l karīm wa ḥaqqi mā ba‘dahu mina-sh shahri al-‘aẓīm, wa bi-ḥaqqi hādhihi-l laylati-llatī fīhā yufraqu kullu amrin ḥakīm, an tuṣliḥa shu’ūnanā mā ẓahara minhā wa mā baṭan, wa-mā ghāba wa-ḥaḍara wa-mā daqqa minhā wa-jalla, wa-tanṣuranā naṣrān ‘azīzā, wa-tu’ayyidanā bi-ta’yīdika, wa-tu‘ammira lanā madīnatanā bi-l jamā‘ati-s saniyyati wa-l ‘ulamā’i wa-l awliyā’i wa-ṣ ṣulaḥā’i wa-l ‘ārifīna wa-l muslimīna wa-l muslimāti wa-lmu’minīna wa- l mu’mināt.

Wa-taḥfaẓanā bi-‘aynika-llatī lā tanām, waknufnā bi-kanafika-lladhī lā yurām, wasluk binā aṣ-ṣirāṭa al-mustaqīm, wa najjinā mina-r ru’asā’i aḍ-ḍāllīna al-muḍillīn, wa-junūdihim wa-ashyā‘ihim, wa-akhrijnā min ḥizbi ahlil-ahwā’, wa-‘āfinā mimmā-btalaytahum bihi, waj‘alnā lil-muttaqīna imāmā, wa-ṭayyib hādhihi al-buq‘ata lanā wa-ṭayyibnā lahā, wa-bārik lanā fī muddihā wa-ṣā‘ihā, wa-bārik lanā fī mā’ihā wa-arḍihā, wa-‘ammirhā bika bi-ḥaqqi al-bayti al-ma‘mūr wa-bi-ḥaqqi ummi al-qurā, wa-bi-ḥaqqi Ṭaybata al-Muṣṭafā, wa-bi-ḥaqqi ash-Shāmi allatī hiya al-arḍu al-mubārakah, wa-bi-ḥaqqi Fāsi al-khatmi at-Tijāniyyi al-Imām, ‘ammir lanā hādhihi al-buq‘ata, waj‘alhā ḥaraman āminan tujbā ilayhi thamarātu kulli shay’in.

War-zuqnā rāḥata al-qulūbi fīhā wal-abdān wal-‘āfiyata ad-dā’imata wash-shukra ‘alal-‘āfiyati was-salāmata min kulli baliyyatin wa-balā’in fid-dīni wad-dunyā wal-ākhirah. Rabbi-j‘al hādhā al-balada āminan war-zuq ahlahu min ath-thamarāt, waj‘al fīhā sirra Maqāmi Ibrāhīma wa-man dakhalahu kāna āminā, yā dhal-jalāli wal-ikrām yā Karīmu yā Wahhābu yā Qarību yā Mujīb, wa-ṣallallāhu ‘alā sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa-ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi wa-sallama taslīmā.

Ameen thumma Ammeen……
