Baddi bin Sidina in his mawlid poem 'Tania'.
Sidi Baddi bin Sidina was the Khalifah of Shaykh
Muhammad al-Hafiz al-Shinqiti (RA) of Mauritania.
Baddi was also known as 'Hassan al-tariq' or the Hassan of the Tariqa
Tijaniya in reference to Hassan ibn Thabit, the poet of the prophet who
defended Islam and praised the prophet with his poetry.
This poem was recited publicly during mawlid season by
Sheikh al-Islam Ibrahim Niasse, in the blessed nights of this Month of Rabi
al-Awwal.
